You’ve probably heard the saying “Perception is Reality,” right? But is there more to this than meets the eye? The famous photographer Richard Avedon was to have once said: “There is no truth, there is no history. Only the way the story is told.” In photography as in life, the way a story is told gives rise to its meaning. Is it clear or fuzzy, light or dark, funny or sad, loud or quiet, and on and on.
But, who really makes the meanings though? Is it the storyteller or the viewer/listener?
